Privacy Policy

RoadLink · Last updated: 13 Sep 2026 · contact@roadlink.info

This Privacy Policy is an electronic record between you and RoadLink under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and is also intended to meet our duties under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. It is incorporated into the Terms & Conditions.

RoadLink (“we”, “us”, “Company”) operates www.roadlink.info, the RoadLink customer app, and the RoadLink Partner app (together, the “Platform”). We connect customers with independent driver partners for intra-city goods transport in Delhi NCR and Uttar Pradesh.

“You” means a customer, a person booking on behalf of a business, or a driver partner. “Services” means the booking, matching, tracking, payment-facilitation, and support features on the Platform.

By using the Platform you consent to the collection, use, storage, transfer, and disclosure of information as described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Information we collect

We may collect:

We do not require access to your full contact book or a list of other installed apps. If a future referral or safety feature needs extra access, we will ask for consent in the app first.

2. How we use information

We may send service messages that are necessary to complete a trip. Marketing SMS or calls, if we ever send them, will follow TRAI / DND rules and you may opt out by emailing contact@roadlink.info or using the in-app control when available.

3. Location

Customer app. Precise or approximate location is used only while the app is in use, to set a pickup pin and show nearby partners. We do not collect customer location in the background.

Partner app. While you are Online, the Partner app collects precise location, including in the background when the app is closed or the screen is locked (with a persistent notification), so we can match you with nearby jobs and alert you about them. During an active trip, background location is also used so the customer can track the vehicle. Location collection stops when you go Offline and no trip is active. You will see an in-app explanation before Android asks for background (“Allow all the time”) location.

We may link the partner’s trip path to the customer’s trip record so we can issue a receipt and handle support, even if the customer has not shared their own location.

4. Photos and camera

The customer app may use the system photo picker for a profile picture. The partner app uses the camera or photo picker for KYC and, where the trip requires it, a load photo. On Android 13+ we do not ask for access to your entire photo library.

5. Sharing

We share only what is needed:

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent or trade your data for advertising.

6. Cookies and the website

The website may use essential cookies or similar storage so pages load and forms work. We may use basic traffic logs to see which pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser; some pages may then work less well. Once you leave our site through a third-party link, that site’s policy applies.

7. Security and retention

We use HTTPS, access controls, and other measures consistent with the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You must keep OTPs and your device locked.

We keep account and trip records for as long as needed to run the Service, settle fees, handle disputes, and meet Indian tax and other legal retention periods. We do not keep sensitive personal data longer than those purposes require.

8. Deletion and your choices

You may review or correct profile details in the app. You may deny or revoke location, notification, or camera permissions in system settings (some features will then stop working).

You may delete your account when no trip is active:

After deletion we remove or anonymise personal data except where we must keep trip, geo, payment, or KYC records for safety, fraud prevention, tax, or to enforce our rights. If you withdraw consent in writing, we may be unable to keep providing the Service that needed that data.

Email contact@roadlink.info for access, correction, or deletion requests.

9. Children

The Platform is not directed at children under 13. Partner accounts are only for adults (18+) who lawfully operate a goods vehicle.

10. Prohibited use of the Platform

You must not host, upload, or share information that you have no right to share; that is defamatory, obscene, or harmful to a child; that infringes intellectual property; that is unlawful; that impersonates another person; that threatens the security or sovereignty of India; or that contains malware — as listed in Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. We may suspend the account and remove such content.

11. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version on this page. The date above will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
